    To be scored, you need to sign up for a race committee date.  If you don't see your name on the Race Committee Schedule, then you have not signed up, and will not be scored.  Also, make sure you have renewed your PHRF Rating.

  • Cape Charles Cup Awards Social

    CCC skippers, crew, and BBSA members are invited to the post-race social and awards ceremony at AJ Gators East Beach on September 15, 2026 starting at 6:00 pm.

    High level agenda:

    • 6:00 pm Social starts and free bar opens

      (Yuengling and Bud Light draft, domestic bottles, soda)

    • 6:30 pm Food (appetizers) starts to arrive in waves. 
      Please be patient with the wait staff.  We take over the place.  

    • 7:00 pm   Awards presentations

    • 7:30 pm Raffle for next year's free entry fee

  • BBSA Summer Racing Series Registration

    This is an exciting race series for BBSA members. Non-members are most welcome.

    One of the objectives of this series is to have three mid-distance races that are "close to home" for almost all BBSA racers - Little Creek Racers, Willoughby Racers and BBSA members with boats near Hampton Yacht Club (HYC) and Old Point Comfort Yacht Club (OPCYC).  

    Additionally, we will include the classes that our members want to use –

    • PHRF A, B, C & N (1 HS)
    • PHRF Cruising
    • ORC Performance Cruiser (spinnaker)
    • Cruising - for our novice 1st/2nd year racers.

    The series schedule

    • Race 1 - postponed.  See NOS Amendment 1

  • Willoughby Memorial Race

    Join us for an October tradition on Willoughby Bay... the Memorial Race.  Racing is for non-spinnaker, single headsail.  This is a staggered-start, pursuit-style race with handicaps taken into consideration at the start.  Each boat will have its own starting time.  There will be a post-race party (approx. 3:30pm) with refreshments at the Rebel Marina Breezeway Cafe.  Race awards will be handed out at the Willoughby End-of-Season Party following the Hot-Buttered Rum Race in November.   Entry fee is FREE for BBSA Members (dues paid).  All others - $10  

    The sailing instructions with course descriptions and starting times will be provided at the Skippers' Meeting.
